Tools Group Builder Screen

Objective:

Explain what a user is seeing on the Group Builder Screen.

Rights Needed:

Versions:

XSPOC: 3.1, 3.2

Purpose:

The Group Builder window allows the user to edit current groups and to define new well groups that display in the Well Group Explorer.

Instruction:

  1. Open the XPOC Client
  2. From the navigation panel locate and select the Tools Tab
  3. Click Tools Tab > Group Builder Icon
  4. The Group Builder window opens
    1. When the Group Builder window is displayed it already has the query of the selected group displayed.
    2. You can change this query and save it to modify the currently selected group or change the Group Name and Save it to create a new well group

    1. New Group Icon
    2. Save Icon
    3. Delete Icon
    4. Group Name
    5. Parent
    6. Type
    7. Filter Group
    8. Hidden
    9. Operational Score Deduction
    10. Exception Alarm Checkbox

  6. Filter Section
    1. Left side tool bar:
      1. Execute SQL Statement Exclamation Point
      2. Erase SQL Statement Icon
      3. Undo Icon
      4. Redo Icon
      5. Group Wizards – selecting a wizard opens a SQL query box with pre-formatted statements and access to dropdown lists of possible variables
        1. Table/Column Wizard
        2. Well List Wizard
        3. Roue Wizard
        4. Ad Hoc Group Wizard
        5. Show Standard Groups

    1. Center Section – where the SQL statement is built
  1. Preview Section
    1. Tree View – displays the SQL query results along with the hierarchy of the group.
    2. Data View – list the NodeID’s the query selects
  2. On the bottom right there are two window control icons.
    1. The lock icon allows the user to lock the screen
    2. The arrow icon allows the use to float the window and move it to other screens or areas of the same computer screen.
