XSPOC System Requirements
These are some general guidelines for hardware and software needed to install and run XSPOC. Although these suggestions may vary from one company to another, these requirements can be used as a general guide for initial setup and configuration.

Small (1 to 500 Wells) Single Server Install Requirements
Operating System
Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019
Hardware
- 2 GHz (or faster) multi-core (minimum 4) processors
- 8GB of RAM (more, if more than five simultaneous users in the networked environment)
- 100GB of disk space for application and data storage (does not include space needed OS and other software)
- SAS 10K HDD’s or SAS SSD (Recommended)
- *Raid 1 configuration for fault tolerance (2 HDD’s required)
Additional disk space depending on the number of wells, data resolution, and data.
Remote access: (LogMeIn or company-provided VPN or CITRIX required to provide remote support)
Note: The XSPOC Install does not include SQL Server. If you are testing only, we recommend installing SQL Express 2014 R2 or later (limits database to 10GB), or purchasing a licensed version of MSSQL Server Standard | Web | Enterprise with licenses to match CPU cores of the server. (Versions should be 2016, 2017, or 2019). While you may test with SQL Express, we do NOT officially support SQL Express.
Larger (500 – 1000 Wells) Split Install Requirements
MSSQL Operating System
Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019
Hardware – for MSSQL Server
- 2 GHz (or faster) multi-core (minimum 6) processors
- 16GB of RAM (more, if more than twenty simultaneous users in the networked environment)
- 250GB of disk space for OS and MSSQL (does not include space needed for Database)
- 2X SAS 10K HDD’s or SAS SSD (Recommended)
- *Raid 1 configuration for fault tolerance OS partition (2 HDD’s required)
- 3X SAS 10K HDD’s or SAS SSD (Recommended) for Database storage
- *Raid 5 recommended for fault tolerance database partition (3 HDD’s required)

Our application server is the “Guts” of our product. When XSPOC is installed to a server, it will connect to the MSSQL server to deliver information gathered by our Server Service from the “Wells” POC. In addition, our Scheduler service maintains our database and performs analytics.
