New Asset Screen

Objective:

Explain what a user is seeing on the Asset >New Asset Screen.

Rights Needed:

Versions:

XSPOC: 3.1, 3.2

Purpose:

The New Asset screen allows a user with Well Admin rights to add a new asset to XSPOC.

Instruction:

1. Open XPOC Client
2. From the navigation panel locate and select the Asset Tab
3. Click Asset Tab>New Asset Icon
4. The New Asset Screen opens and displays the following:
   1. Name – enter the new asset name
   2. Clone From – select another asset if desired
      1. Include Surface and Downhole Equipment Checkbox
      2. Include Facility Tags Checkbox
      3. Include Host Alarms Checkbox
   3. Controller
      1. Type – select controller drop
      2. Port – select desired port
      3. Address – enter address to communicate with the asset
   4. Enable – check to enable for communications in XSPOC
   5. Create – creates the asset

1. On the bottom right there are two window control icons.
   1. The lock icon allows the user to lock the screen,
   2. The arrow icon allows the use to float the window and move it to other screens or areas of the same computer screen.
