XBAL Template Missing

Trying to use XBAL within the XSPOC Desktop Client results in the error message “XBAL Template Missing”.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Open the XBAL Stand Alone Software on the computer where the XSPOC Client is being used.
  2. Create a New XBAL file.
  3. Enter a name, and any values. Exactly what you enter does not matter. Typically the file is named Template.
  4. Save the new file to a known and accessible location.
  5. Open the XSPOC Desktop Client.
  6. Select a well from the well tree navigation on the left.
  7. Go to Tools>XBAL.
  8. If XBAL does not launch, then go to Tools>Change XBAL File and navigate to where you saved the file that you created previously and select that file.
  9. Go back to Tools>XBAL and if XABL does not open, then contact XSPOC support for further assistance.
