Fisher ROC Communication Initial Setup
Created On
byTheta Team
You are here:
< Back
POCTypes:
- 45 Fisher ROC Single Meter
- Supports ROCLink protocol
- tblParameter entries exist for a single gas flow meter
- used for FloBoss 107 Single gas flow meter installations
- 46 Fisher ROC800 Master Controller
- Supports ROCLink Plus protocol
- tblParameter entries exist to determine number of slave devices
- Scan creates required slave devices based on registers read
- 108 Facility Fisher ROC800
- Supports ROCLink Plus protocol
- no pre-existing tblParameter entries
- Scan does not automatically create slave devices
- Expectation is that Facility tags will be used for data
- 110 Facility Fisher ROCLink
- Supports ROCLink protocol
- no pre-existing tblParameter entries
- Expectation is that Facility Tags will be use for data
- For FloBoss 107 devices other than single gas flow meter installations.
- 281 EFM Fisher ROC Gas Orifice
- Supports ROCLink Plus protocol
- tblParameter entries exist for a Gas Orifice flow meter
- used for one of multiple Gas Orifice devices implemented on a ROC800 Master controller
- Usually automatically created when the ROC 800 master is scanned
- Cannot be used for FlowBoss 107 Gas Orifice because the registers don’t match.
- 282 EFM Fisher ROC Gas Turbine
- Supports ROCLink Plus protocol
- tblParameter entries exist for a Gas Turbine flow meter
- used for one of multiple Gas Turbine devices implemented on a ROC800 Master controller
- Usually automatically created when the ROC 800 master is scanned
- 283 EFM Fisher ROC Liquid Turbine
- Supports ROCLink Plus protocol
- tblParameter entries exist for a Liquid Turbine flow meter
- used for one of multiple Liquid Turbine devices implemented on a ROC800 Master controller
- Usually automatically created when the ROC 800 master is scanned
- 284 EFM Fisher ROC 107 Gas Orifice
- Used for a multiple Flow Meter FloBoss 107, Create 1 for each orifice.
- Node Address “offset” is 1 for Orifice 1, 2 for Orifice 2, etc.
- tblParameter entries exist for Gas Flow Orifice Meter
- Not automatically created and no “Master” exists.
- Supports ROCLink protocol
- Cannot be used for ROC800 Gas Orifice because the registers don’t match.
Host Address
- The Fisher ROC protocol requires a SystemParameter “EFMFisherROCHostAddress”
- This needs to be a string of the form “000001” where the first three characters “000” is the “Host Address Group”
- And the second three characters “001” are the “Host Address Unit”.
- If this is not setup, XSPOC will use the default of 0 and 1 as shown above.
Device Address
The Fisher ROC “Meter Address” should be also in the form “001003”.
- The first three characters are the “Group” (1 in this example) and the second three are the “Unit” (3 in this example).
- This goes in the “Address” field in the WellConfig screen. This field is also called “Node” in the tblWellMaster.
- For example”i10.10.10.10|111|001003″ would be the example above of group 1 and Unit 3 for a device on
- TCPIP address 10.10.10.10 and TCPIP Port 111.
