Configuring High Resolution Historical Data Storage

You are here:
< Back

By default, XSPOC stores high frequency historical data for 30 days. Depending on disk storage space, and well count, this number can be increased to whatever time period is desired. If your well count is high and your disk space is limited, 30 days may be sufficient.

Users can store historical data for a period beyond the 30 day setting. If hard drive space is not a problem, then storing historical data for longer than 30 days is not unreasonable, however, this is a global setting and will apply to every asset on your system.

To change the number of days:

Open the XSPOC client and go to Tools>Database>tblSystemParameters table.

Locate the parameter DataHistoryDays.

Enter the number of days to store high frequency data in the Value column. The change will take effect immediately and will affect the number of days stored when the ArchiveDataHistory event runs, as scheduled in tblSchedule.
