ESP Analysis Requirements

You are here:
< Back

An ESP Analysis requires measurements, equipment data and IPR data. ( Even without IPR data a useful analysis can be obtained, but it is needed for full analysis )

For the measurements, the Measurements Tab is divided into sections.

A value captured prior to the well test being analyzed must be present for each measurement listed in the Required For Analysis section.

For the equipment, the well needs to have at least 1 pump with stages, and also Frequency, Pump Depth and Tubing Pipe Quality Factor on the ESP Equipment tab.

Lastly we need the tubing, casing, and perf data on the Downhole tab. In the case of perf data, we either need midperf depth from the perfs, or the production depth.

For the IPR data, they need to know the static bottomhole pressure & bubblepoint pressure. If the well has a PIP sensor, they can use that to have XSPOC calculate FBHP ( flowing bottomhole pressure ) for IPR by inputting the depth on the ESP Equipment tab and checking the box to use PIP data in analysis. Otherwise, they’ll need to provide a manual FBHP.
