Door Not Sealing – SMARTEN EDGE

Scope:

There have been complaints of water ingress into the SMARTEN EDGE resulting in screen and board damages.

Solution:

When installing or servicing the SMARTEN EDGE ensure that the door latches close tightly, and the outer door compresses the rubber gasket.

Materials Required:

None

Steps for Mitigation:

If the outer door does not seal correctly use a 5/16” wrench to adjust the tension on the latches. Refer to the illustrations below.

• Adjust the length of the door latches

(If needed) using the wrench as shown.

• Lock the door latch as shown
• Ensure the door latch is closed tight
