GEN 2 Wi-Fi Module Change Notice

Scope:

Due to current supply chain distribution constraints on certain electronic components there will be a change to the current GEN 2 Wi-Fi module (PN 475.0105; EXP-A028-1 Rev B)

Solution:

The GEN 2 Wi-Fi module will no longer be populated with the Wi-Fi chip. Therefore, the GEN 3 Wi-Fi module (PN 1155186; GEN3 WIFI MODULE) will be used instead. A new BOM was created to accommodate this change.

A new image will need to be installed for the new Wi-Fi module to work. This image can be downloaded using SMARTEN Launcher. To obtain SMARTEN Launcher please contact your ChampionX representative, or call 661-633-2792

Install Gen 2 Wi-Fi Board

*Doesn’t have module*

Install USB TO RIB2 CABLE to connect RIB2 board to Beagle Bone board.

Connect Gen2 Wi-Fi Board to the Gen3 Wi-Fi Module using the USB cable.

Install the Gen3 Wi-Fi Module on the grounding lug bolt.

Install the supplied antenna/cable provided through the 2nd largest knock. Use existing Gen2 POC gland.
