Notice: XSPOC email notifications may stop sending emails due to deprecated security implementation within Microsoft O365 and Exchange Online.
If you are using Microsoft Office 365 and or Exchange Online to relay SMTP (mail) messages and reports from XSPOC to internal and or external members, you may experience delivery issues. This is due to the new restrictions when connecting to your SMTP connectors. Basic authentication will be removed by Microsoft from your tenant by December 31, 2022. Click here to read the MS notice. As XSPOC doesn’t support anything but basic authentication for SMTP, admins may need to find an alternative to relay mail to members. We are currently working on solutions to this issue; however, we will not be able to complete the required code changes before the deadline.
In addition to basic auth being removed, TLS 1.0 and 1.1 connections will not be allowed (click here to read MS Notice). This appears to be provider wide, not just MS, however we have updated our SMTP code to allow the newer TLS 1.2 connections. This change is being added to our 3.2.1 service pack that will be available soon. If you are unable to upgrade by December 31st, and you are connecting to a relay that requires TLS 1.2 please contact support to request a single file upgrade to your system. This will allow you to continue connecting to your relay without completing a full upgrade.
Our team thanks you for your understanding, and we will continue to address issues like these as high priority and keep you aware of changes that may affect your XSPOC implementations.
